90, of Cranston, R.I. died March 8, 2015 at the Courtland Place in Smithfield. Oliver was the devoted husband of the late Doris S. Gonsalves and the loving father of John Gonsalves and his wife Tana, Nancy Proulx and her husband George. He was also the proud grandfather of Nicole Proulx, Gregory Proulx and Jonathan Gonsalves as well as great-grandfather of five.

Oliver is also survived by his sister, Mary Ferrerri, and was the brother of the late Edward, Manuel, Joseph and Anthony Gonsalves.

Oliver was a master carpenter. He could make anything with his hands, from a delicate animal carving to building a house. He was also loved gardening, especially his flowers, he enjoyed boating and travel, but his greatest love was for his family.

A compassionate and gentle man, Oliver will be greatly missed and long remembered by all who knew him.

Arrangements are private per his wishes. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Parkinson's Disease Association. Special thanks to the staff of Gentiva Hospice, The Lighthouse at Lincoln, and Courtland Place Nursing Home for their care.
